Travelled to Taipei for a few days - March 27 - 30.
This time I flew TransAsia 复兴航空. Their Economy seats are far more spacious than Singapore Airlines. The inside of the plane smells new, the seats look brand new, the seat-back monitors are definitely new. There is only one flight a day from Singapore to Taipei and it departs at 12:55AM, arriving in the early hours of 27 March.
My room wasn't ready when I checked into Dandy Hotel Tianjin. The staff offered to hold my luggage in storage. They recommended breakfast at Fuhang but I decided to go to 尚大娘水煎包 only because I was familar with the Fuxing MRT vicinity. I bought two 水煎包 to eat on a bench in a nearby park. I took a big bite out of the first one and the very hot broth in the filling scalded my hand and tonque - double ouch!
I figured it was too early to go to Eslite Bookstore so I killed time in a Starbucks. I ordered a cappuccino and later dozed off - just for a little while.
While having dinner with Kevin and Cath, they mentioned that there was a quake in Taipei in the morning, at around the time I was inside Starbucks. According to them, the tremors were strong. So strong, they said, that they were contemplating whether to leave the office building. But I felt nothing! Maybe instead of dozing, I was in deep sleep.
I wonder if I snored?
